Mrs. Marie Adams, 83 of Hamburg, AR, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Northridge Healthcare Center in North Little Rock, AR. She was a native of Monticello, but had resided in Hamburg for the past 57 years. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Velma "V.D." Adams, her parents: Jordan and Katie Peoples Prosper, four brothers: Harry, Alfred, Alonzo and Elton Prosper, and one sister, Minnie Mae Prosper. Marie enjoyed cooking, quilting and playing word puzzles.

She is survived by three sons: Curtis Griffin of Oakland, CA, Delton Adams of Little Rock, AR and Michael Adams of Pine Bluff, AR, one daughter, Joyce Ann Miles of Hamburg, AR, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and host of other family members, loved ones and friends.

Funeral services are Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 11:00 am at Epistles of God Church of Deliverance with Pastor Mary Arnold, officiating. Pallbearers are Alfred Robinson, Walter Jenkins, Lonielle Richardson, Dewayne Bowman, Knox Prosper, Morris Richardson. Burial in Norris Hill Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
