Mrs. Margie Lee Franklin, age 89, of Fountain Hill, AR passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. She was a lifelong resident of Fountain Hill Longview Community, a homemaker, and a member of the Mt. Peleum A.M.E. Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Earvin Franklin (March 1996), her parents, Rev. Bowman and Isabella Miller, four brothers, Aaron, Zebedee, Obie, and B.C. Miller, four sisters, Dollie Franklin, Beulah Miller, Eva Mae Miller and Savannah Youngblood. Mrs. Franklin enjoyed family, fishing, singing, gardening and cooking. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to all. She loved spending time with her family, especially preparing favorite dishes for everyone.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter: Earlie Bell Lemon husband Hoover of Crossett, AR; two grandchildren: Sidney Carthon and Tamara Burks, two great-grandchildren: Jessica Carthon and Taylor Burks, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Services will be held 11:00AM Friday, January 6, 2017 at Mt. Peleum A.M.E. Church, 270 Prairie Chapel Road, Fountain Hill, AR 71642 with Rev. Jesse Washington, officiating. Pallbearers are Don Franklin, Charlie Smith, Jerry Goodman, Charlie Miller, Andre Miller, and Clyde Hamphill. Burial in Mt. Peleum Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 6:00PM-7:00PM at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.
