Mareen Vann, age 69 of Little Rock, AR. formerly of Hot Springs, AR. died Friday October 27, 2023, at Encore Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Little Rock, AR. She was a native of Portland, AR., where she worked most of her life as a secretary and was of the Baptist faith. Ms. Vann always wore a smile on her face and was a kind caring person. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Ms. Vann was preceded in death by her mother Christine Holmes (2005), her father Gene Spencer, four brothers Ivory Joe Curtis (1955), Burl Lee Franklin (1992), Bruce Edward Adams (2015), and William Richardson (2019).

She is survived by a brother Leroy McDaniel of Detroit, MI., four sisters Bessie Jackson of Oak Park, MI., Emma Jean Allen of Crossett, AR., Fairillia Turner of San Jose, CA., Jacqueline Bynum husband Charles of Portland, AR., and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service will be Friday November 3, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Brown Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Kentrell Woods officiating. Pallbearers are Ricky Holmes, Roy Lee Holmes, Kordale Brown, Willie Robinson Sr., Maxx Webb, and Jeffery Davis. Burial will follow at Jones Chapel Cemetery, in Portland, AR., under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home Inc.
