Mrs. Maggie Childress, age 99, of Crossett, AR, died Saturday, September 19, 2009, at Pine Wood Health & Rehabilitation in Crossett, AR. She was a resident of Crossett, AR, White Station Community, a homemaker, and a member of Fudge Baptist Church.

Mrs. Childress was preceded in death by her husband, Festus, Childress; four brothers: Willie Earl, J.T., John Henry, and J.B. Rhodes; three sisters: Mary Lewis, Inez Evans & Bobbie Childress. She is survived by one nephew, Rev. James H. & wife, Vernie Childress, of Crossett, AR, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are Tuesday, September 22, 1 p.m. at Fudge Baptist Church in White Station Community, with Rev. Eddie Williams officiating. Pallbearers are David Childress, Walter Hendrix, Robert Hendrix, Ray Charles Tucker, & Jesse Tucker, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of Fudge Baptist Church. Burial at Ryles Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home.
