Ms. Madeline Kelley Evans, age 85, of Crossett, AR passed away Thursday March 2, 2023, at Green House Cottages of Southern Hills in Rison, Arkansas. She was a native of Whites Station, AR, and former resident of California. She was a member of Fudge Chapel Baptist Church in Whites Station and a retiree of the Department of Social Services. Ms. Kelley graduated from T. W. Daniel High School in Crossett and AM&N College now the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, AR. After retiring she spent her time doing what she loved most studying, teaching, and preaching God's Word. She loved to play the piano and sing praises to God. She was the eldest of ten children and greatly admired by her siblings.

Ms. Kelley was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bennie Evans Jr., and parents, Rev. Ervin "J.E" Kelley and Rosie Lee Hendrix Kelley.

She is survived by a son Stanley Keith Evans and wife Gina, daughters Greta Denise Polite and husband James, and Kelli Evans all of Los Angeles, CA, five brothers, James Ervin Kelley and wife Ruby of Florissant, MO, Johnny Lee Kelley and wife Carrie of Marianna, AR, Charles Edward Kelley and wife Patricia of Auburn, AL, Harold Ray Kelley, and Clifford Allen Kelley and wife Diane both of Crossett, AR, four sisters Brenda Joyce Daniel and husband John of Fordyce, AR, Janice Loraine Mars of Houston, TX, Shirley Diane Wilson and husband Charles of Townsend, GA, and Carol Fay Mars of Houston, TX, five grandchildren, Myles Evans, Faith Evans, Miqveh Steinhart, Serenity Evans, and Aliscia Polite, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral Service will be at Fudge Chapel Baptist Church in Whites Station, Arkansas on Friday March 10, 2023, at 11:00 A.M with Pastor Stan Evans officiating. Pallbearers are Jonathan Daniel, Clifford Kelley, Lawrence Tucker, Terry Williams, Walter Hendrix, and Donny Canley. Burial will be in Ryles Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
