Mrs. Lydia Illa Broomfield, 69 of Hamburg, AR, died Saturday, May 30, 2015 at her home in the Milo Community. She was a lifelong resident of Ashley County, a homemaker, and a member of Friendship Worship Center.
Mrs. Broomfield was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Lee and Ludie Mae Thornhill Smith and two brothers, Wilbert and Gary Smith. Lydia was a devoted wife and mother who loved the Lord and enjoyed singing in her church. She also loved canning, sewing and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bob Golden Broomfield, two sons: Bobby Broomfield II & Marvin Henslee both of Crossett, AR, two daughters: Violet Strange, husband Richard and Loleta Myers, husband Patrick both of Hamburg, AR, eight grandchildren: Tiffany Broomfield, Dakota Brown, Samantha Strange, Joel Broomfield, Nakita Broomfield, TaLyn Myers, Ashley Strange, Nathaniel Henslee, and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
Funeral services are Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Cromwell Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Perdue and Bro. Kenny Bolin, officiating. Pallbearers are Lavon Smith, Virgil Smith, Danny Smith, Randy Hill, Kenneth Pack and Darrell Henslee. Burial in Zion Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
Visitation Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 6-8 pm in the chapel of Cromwell Funeral Home.
