Obituary

Mrs. Lula Atkins, 95 died Saturday, August 7, 2010 at her residence in Crossett, Arkansas. She was a native of Ingalls, Arkansas but a lifelong resident of Crossett.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years: T.J. Atkins; two sons: Edward Williams and Darrel Atkins; her parents: Fred and Maggie Hargrave; two brothers: Floyd and Fred Edward Hargrave; five sisters: Ressie Carmicial, Annie Heath, Jennie Partman, Ada Dupree, and Lena Hargrave; and one grandson: Carl Sawyer.

She is survived by one son Phil Williams; four daughters: Ammie Jean Johnson, Fannie Bell Sedberry, and Ethel Dean Williams all of Crossett, Arkansas and Susan Price of Orlando, Florida; twenty-eight grandchildren; forty-five great grandchildren; and fifty great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 13, 2010 at 1:00P.M. at Gates Chapel A.M.E. Church with Rev. Tyrone Broomfield and Pastor Harriel D. White, III officiating. Active pallbearers are Manuel Boston, Andre Hollins, Patrick Hollins, Terrance Flucken, Anthony Lewis, Jr., and Kenny Ray Lewis. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Lewis, Sr., Charles Lewis, Jr., Anthony Lewis, Samuel Briggs, Greg Barker, Leon Thomas, Santario Scott, and Felton Tatum, Jr. Visitation will be Thursday, August 12, 2010 from 6:00-7:00P.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home. Interment will be at Westview Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, Arkansas.
