Mrs. Louise "Helen" Scott, 63, of Crossett, AR, passed away Monday, November 10, 2014 at her home. She was born in Bonita, LA on September 10, 1951. She had lived in Crossett for the past 30 years, was a homemaker, and was a member of First Baptist Church on Dr. Martin Luther King Dr.
She was preceded in death by one son, Ignatious Lamont Scott, her parents, George & Rosie Gayfield Coleman and one brother, George "Pop" Coleman, Jr. Helen loved her family, cooking and watching old western movies.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Scott, four sons, John Henry Bridges, Omar Scott, Terrell Scott & Maurice Sims all of Oakland, CA, two daughters, Cornilla Scott-Jasper, husband Byron of Crossett, AR & Ella Louise Scott of Kansas City, MO, one adopted daughter, Sherice Cook of Crossett, AR, one brother, Manuel Black, wife Rose Marie of Crossett, AR, three sisters, Victoria Singleton, husband Henry S. & Diane Grant both of Crossett, AR, Dorothy Jean Duncan of Los Angeles, CA, twenty-six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church on Dr. Martin Luther King Dr., with Rev. Curtis Jackson, officiating. Active pallbearers are Manuel Black, Jr., Lawrence Jolivet, Caster Mansfield, Omar Scott, Terrell Scott, Allen Norris & Christopher Fudge. Burial in Westview Cemetery.
Viewing will be from 4 pm to 5 pm, Friday, November 14, 2014 in the chapel of Cromwell Funeral Home.
