Louise Jones, age 92, of Crossett, AR passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Stonegate Villa Health and Rehabilitation. She was a native of Haynesville, LA but was a resident of Crossett for 70 years.

Mrs. Jones was a homemaker, a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church where she faithfully served on the Deaconess Ministry, Mother Ministry, Missionary Ministry, and as Youth Director for over twenty-five years; she was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Silver Star Chapter #306. She enjoyed going to church, cooking, sewing and being with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kirkwood Jones, parents, Matthew and Fannie Taylor-Chatom, two brothers, Jesse and Sylvester Chatom, and sister, Virgie Ellis.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Clyde Jones (wife Corliss) of Memphis, TN; three daughters, Ellawease Jones of St Louis, MO; Lucille Smith (husband Celester) of Crossett, AR; Wanda McGinister of Memphis, TN; two sisters, Helen Newton and Lovie Bush both of Flint, MI; fourteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a host of nephews, nieces, other family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 11:00AM at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Murlee Carter and Brother Jesse Radford officiating. Active pallbearers are Christopher Smith, Ernest McGinister III, Derrick Ellis, Michael Ellis, Fredrick Davis, and Marcus Ellis. Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons and Trustees of Pleasant Green Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Westview Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 5:00PM to 6:30PM at Pleasant Green Baptist Church located at 3011 Porter Jasper Rd. Crossett, AR . Services under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home.
