Louella Jenkins, 74 of Hamburg, but lived in the Milo Community, died Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, AR. She was a resident of Hamburg for thirty eight years, a native of Lumpkin, GA and a past resident of Chicago, IL for twenty three years. Mrs. Jenkins was a retired beautician, and a member of the Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church where she served in the choir ministry and with the Pastors Aid ministry.
She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel, and Mary Alice Green-Johnson.
Survived by her husband of fifty years, Mack Jenkins, Jr., her son Thaddeus, wife Denise of Grand Prairie, TX, two brothers, Clyde Johnson, wife Ella, and Samuel Johnson, Jr., two sisters, Minnie Lockett, and Mattie Thomas, husband Rueben, all of Chicago, IL, two grandchildren, Dominic and Jaslyne, and a host of other family members, and friends.
Funeral Services are Friday, December 30, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Pleasant Green Baptist Church with Rev. Walton Weatherspoon, and Rev. Merle Carter officiating. Pallbearers are Calvin Barnett, Carl Lee Jenkins, Harvey Jenkins, Lee Terry Jenkins, Samuel Jenkins, Jr., Steven Paskel, Troy Paskel, and Cylester Smith. Visitation is Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 6-8:00 P.M. Burial in Carlock Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
