Mrs. Lottie Mae Skipper, 96 of McGehee, AR, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at McGehee Hospital. She was a native of Chicot County, a homemaker and a member of Union Baptist Church.

Mrs. Skipper was preceded in death by her husband, Rev.Theola "T.S." Skipper, two sons, Rev. Howard Bess, Rev. Byron Bess, her parents: Wesley & Mary Thompson Greene and three sisters: Ozell Davis, Dora Hudspeth & Versie Williams.

She is survived by six sons: Rev. Andrew Bess, wife Barbara of Pine Bluff, AR, Legusta Bess, Jr., Theo Skipper II and Rev. Lonnie Bess, Sr., all of Kansas City, KS, Bruce Bess of Kansas City, MO, Gregory Bess of McGehee, AR, a grandson she raised as her own, Theo Skipper III, of McGehee, AR, two daughters, Claudette Greene & Deborah Williams both of Kansas City, KS, one brother, Roger Greene, wife Edmonia of Montrose, AR, twenty-four grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services are Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 11:00 am at McGehee Chapel Baptist with Rev. Darren J. Buffington officiating. Pallbearers are Alvin Huskey, Jr., Lewis Watson, Doc Croom, Roosevelt Huskey, Curtis Vincent & Charles Beasley. Honorary pallbearers are Theo Skipper II, Lonnie Bess, Sr., Legusta Bess, Bruce Bess, Gregory Bess, Andrew Bess, Sr., and Theo Skipper III. Burial in Strickland Memorial Lawns Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
