Lloyd Henry Collins, age 62, of Crossett, AR died Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. He is a native of Parkdale, AR but a resident of Crossett, AR for the past ten years. He was a past resident of Hamburg, AR. He worked in the Maintenance Department of Crossett and Hamburg School Districts for a total of 39 years. He is a retiree of the Hamburg School District Maintenance Department. Lloyd was a member of First Baptist Church on MLK Drive in Crossett where he served as a Deacon.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Kimberly Latrece Collins, June 2021; his parents James Woods Sr., 2001, Mattie Collins Shoulder, 1991; four brothers Derrick, and Boyd Brown, George Watkins, and Lamar Woods.
Lloyd was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his family and his church. He enjoyed grilling, cooking, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of four years Deborah Collins of Crossett, AR; four sons Issac Collins (Marshellia) of Bryant, AR, Lasedrick Collins of Little Rock, AR, Demarcus Collins and Demetrius Collins both of North Little Rock, AR; two step sons Marcus and Andre Moore both of Crossett, AR; one daughter Cherrle Collins of Little Rock, AR; one step daughter Natalie Moore of Crossett, AR; two brothers Billy D. Cobb of Chicago, IL and Willie Earl Woods (Ada) of Greensboro, NC; nine sisters Blanch Adams of Portland, AR, Mary Magdalene Burns of Fayetteville, AR, Lillie Cobb of Parkdale, AR, Etta Robinson (Alfred) of Hamburg, AR, Pamela Carter (James) of Parkdale, AR, Virgilene Brown of Parkdale, AR, Marilyn Woods (Rick) of Portland, AR, Mary Hill of Wichita, KS, and Lavern Patterson of Ardene, NY; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Service 11 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at First Baptist Church on Parker Street in Hamburg, AR with Rev. Curtis Jackson officiating. Pallbearers James Carter, Mark Carter, Larry Robinson, Johnny Moore, Lawrence Tucker, Andre Moore, Thurnell Hynes, and Alex Goodwin. Honorary Pallbearers First Baptist Church, Deacons, and Hamburg School District Maintenance Department.
Burial to follow at Westview Cemetery in Crossett, AR.
Visitation 5:30- 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Cromwell Funeral Home in Hamburg, AR.
