Lila Ann Shelton age 73 of Wilmot, AR transitioned on Tuesday February 20, 2024, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, MS. She was a lifelong resident of Wilmot, AR, a member of First Baptist Church in Wilmot, and a retired secretary for Mainline Health Clinic. Mrs. Shelton enjoyed crafting, reading (book club), creative writing, writing children's books, and gardening. She created a newsletter called Wilmot's Scoop that reported news updates for the town, shared recipes, and gardening tips.

She was preceded in death by her mother Doris Evans, two brothers Harvey Evans, Jr., and James Evans.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-seven years Herbert Shelton, a goddaughter, Addison White of Conway, AR, two brothers, Lawrence Evans of Mission Hills, CA and Cloman Evans of Wilmot, AR, three sisters, Evelyn Johnson of Los Angeles, CA, Fern Finley of Dacula, GA, and Marie Parker of Fayetteville, AR,  a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Funeral service is Saturday March 2, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Wilmot, AR at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor William E. Freeman, Jr. officiating. Active Pallbearers are Robert Whitaker, Willie Roy Whitaker, Robert Penn, Eugene Thomas, Bennie Diggs, and Gerald Haskin. Honorary Pallbearers are the Deacons and Trustees of First Baptist Church. Burial in Second Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc of Hamburg, AR.

Visitation will be Friday March 1, 2024 from 5:30-6:30 P.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.
