Leroy Carter 65 of Crossett, AR formerly of Long Beach, CA transitioned Monday, July 6, 2026, at Somerset Senior Living at Crossett surrounded by his family. He was a native of Lacey, AR, of the Baptist faith, and a former construction worker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and L.V. Carter, and one sister, Thelma Carter. He enjoyed singing, listening to music, and fellowshipping with family and friends. 

He is survived by three brothers: Murlee Carter (wife Vastine) and Wayne Carter both of Crossett, AR; and Willie Ed Carter of Urbana, AR, five sisters: Willie Jean Brown, Linda Carter, Martha Carter, and Freddie Cowains all of Crossett, AR; and Mary Ann Carter of Eldorado, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
