Mr. Leon Hadley, age 63, of Montrose, AR passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Montrose, a Maintenance Worker for the Area Agency on Aging of Southeast Arkansas in Dermott, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Montrose.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry "Bud" and Emma Johnson-Hadley, three brothers, Willie, Vernon, and McArthur Hadley. Mr. Leon was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed watching old westerns, playing dominoes, gardening and helping others.

He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife of 38 years, Merdie Lee-Hadley, four sons: Anthony Waston wife Kimberly of Dayton, OH; Stephan Henry wife Kheshun of Centerton , AR; Todd McGown of Milwaukee, WI; Marcus Ollison of Tempe, AZ; one daughter: Janis Hadley-Williams husband James of North Little Rock, AR; six brothers: Jim Hadley wife Alberta, Anthony Hadley wife Isabell all of Montrose, AR; Dan Hadley wife Delois of St. Louis, MO; Andrew Hadley wife Mary, Buddy Hadley all of Detroit, MI; James Hadley of Pine Bluff, AR; five sisters: Henryetter Curtis husband Herman of Montrose, AR; Veargie Carolina husband Henry of Montrose, AR; Julia Hadley of Pine Bluff, AR, Effie Frazier of Salem, OR; Jackie Hadley of Salem, OR, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Services will be held 3:00PM Friday, January 6, 2017 at Portland #2 Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Alexander, officiating. Pallbearers are Larry Woods, Charles Bynum, Herman Curtis, Donovan Peoples, Marcus Johnson, and Chester Dunn. Burial in Montrose Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 4:00PM-5:00PM at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.
