Mrs. Laverne Huff, 75, of Crossett, AR, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado, AR. Mrs. Huff was a retired custodian of Anderson Elementary School of 18 years, a member of Ashley County Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert B. & Opal Mae Gause Collins, one son, Roger Lee Huff, one sister, June Sullivan, one great-granddaughter, Allene Withers, & one niece, Darlene Sullivan.

She is survived by one son, William E. "Bill" Huff of Crossett, two brothers, Russell "Pete" Collins of Odessa, TX, and Harold Collins of Weatherford, TX and daughter, Carol E. & husband, Chuck Nutter of Hamburg, 8 grand children, Victoria, Renee, Christopher, Nikki, Timothy, Amanda, Ashley, & Doug & 10 great-grandchildren, Billie, Zackery, Phara, Parker, Dalton, Blake, Dakota, Leland, Will & Rachel. A very special friend Martha Locke and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation is Thursday, October 29, 6-8 p.m., at Cromwell Funeral Home. Funeral services are Friday, October 30, 2 p.m. at Cromwell Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Tucker officiating. Burial will be at Tool Cemetery in Tool, TX, under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.
