Ms. Latrice Denise Simpson, 31 of Crossett, AR, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the Ashley County Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Crossett and a member of Campground A.M.E. Church. She was a Crossett High School Class of 1996 graduate. She also graduated from NLU in 2003, obtaining a degree in social work.

She was preceded death by her father, David "Bubba" Simpson, Jr., one sister Martha Sue Simpson, one brother Clark Simpson.
She is survived by her daughter, Yasmine "Yas" Haynes of Crossett, AR, her mother, Robbie Ann Hendrix of Crossett, AR, six brothers: Deon Lewis, wife Tammie, Ray Lewis, wife Valtie, David Hampton, wife Taffany, Rev. Donald Foster and Vincent "Pokey" Davis all of Crossett, AR and Elvin Simpson of Oakland, CA, two sisters, Capresha Hampton of Crossett, AR and Rosemary Simpson of Hamburg, AR and her grandmother, Mary Lee Hendrix of Crossett, AR.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Gates Chapel A.M.E. Church with Rev. A.L. Owens, officiating. Visitation Monday May 24 from 6-8 pm at Cromwell Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Moria Brown, Jamal Williams, Bruce Wright, Normaine Martin, Jefferson Holyfield, Ollie James, Chad Johnson and Chad Sims. Honorary pallbearers are the CHS Class of 1996, James Hampton, III, Christopher Haynes, Basil Henrix, Randy Boyd, Greg Smith, Byron Jasper, Marcus Taylor and Spencer Govan.
