Larry Jack Miller,71 of Crossett, AR, transitioned Monday, December 30, 2024 at Ashley County Medical Center.  He was a native of Fountain Hill, AR, a retired timber industry heavy equipment operator, and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shaffie Miller, parents, Virgil and Alzora Harris Miller, five brothers, Elijah, Virgil Jr., John L., Andrew, and L.V. Miller, four sisters, Jeanette Miller, Elizabeth Cobb, Grace Mae Brock, and Erma Jean Perry.  Larry enjoyed reading, gardening, watching television, especially news and game shows. His favorite pastime was mowing lawns. He loved his grandchildren and great grands and always had an encouraging word for everyone.

He is survived by two sons, Marlon Gilliam of Ft. Worth, TX and Larry Miller, Jr. of Crossett, AR, two daughters, Talisha Simpson of Crossett, AR, and Lareisha Lewis of San Leandro, CA, three brothers, Lee Marvin and wife Tonya Miller of Hamburg, AR, Jerry and Nathaniel Miller both of Crossett, AR, three sisters, Etherine Davis of Dumas, AR, Verdell Briso, Janice Murphy and Juanita Miller all of Chicago, IL, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several other relatives and friends.

Visitation is Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Cromwell Funeral Home 4:00-5:30 P.M.  Funeral service is Monday, January 6, 2025 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Murlee Carter officiating. Pallbearers are Davone Clark, Jeremy Hampton, Christopher Duke II, Lazavian Woods, Johnny Miller and Johnny Brown. Burial in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
