Lacy Brooks, Jr., 83 of Wilmot, AR, died Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, AR.  He was a native of Eudora, AR, but a resident of Wilmot most of his life.  He was a cotton farmer and a member of First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ella Bass Brooks, two daughters, Shirley and Gloria Brooks, and one brother, Robert Brooks. He enjoyed watching westerns and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by six sons, Erbert and wife Avie Brooks of Bryant, AR, Willie and wife Renee Brooks of Little Rock, AR, William Lewis of Wilmot, AR, Lamont and wife Althea Brooks of Colorado, Casey Curtis of Kansas City, MO, and Steven and wife LaTonya Brooks of Crowley, TX, four daughters, Shirley, Rebecca, and Angela Brooks all of Little Rock, AR, and Ann and husband Earnest Jenkins of Shreveport, LA, one sister, Shirley Stuckey of Forney, TX, twenty-six grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and a host and other relatives.

Funeral services are Saturday, May 28, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Wilmot, AR. Pallbearers are Santonio Lemons, Anthony Ruff, Darren McAdoo, Jamarri Brooks, Earnest Jenkins, Jr., and William Lewis, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are the sons of Mr. Brooks. Funeral service is  Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church in Wilmot, AR. Burial will be in St. Martha Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc. of Hamburg, AR.

Visitation is Friday, May 27, 2022 5:30-6:30 at Cromwell Funeral Home.
