Kerri Michele Jenkins, 33 formerly of Crossett, died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 in Jacksonville, Texas. She was employed with the Bullard Independent School District in Bullard, Texas and with Walmart in Jacksonville, Texas. She was also a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Kerri will forever be remembered for her sweet personality and her graceful smile.
She is survived by one daughter: Cynthia Goree and one son: Quinton Goree both of Jacksonville, Texas; her father: Walter Joe Louis Jenkins Sr. and wife Kathy of Jacksonville, Texas; her mother: Ruby Johnson and husband Thomas of Crossett, Arkansas; three sisters: Terri Rogers and husband Kegerick of Houston, Texas, Miranda Jenkins of Jacksonville Texas, and Topresia Hampton and husband Tracy of Crossett, Arkansas; one brother: Walter Joe Louis Jenkins, Jr. of Hot Springs, Arkansas; four step-sisters: Andreana Johnson of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Gracelyn Jenkins of Alto, Texas, Lekeshia Stewart and LaMecha Stewart both of Jacksonville, Texas; six step-brothers: Damon Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia, Dewight Johnson and wife Shanta, Derrell Newton and wife Mary both of Crossett, Arkansas, Anthony Johnson of Katy, Texas, Reginald Johnson and wife Kristy of El Paso, Texas, and Roderick Stewart of Jacksonville, Texas; her paternal grandmother: Viola Jenkins of Alto, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 23, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Jesse Radford, Jr. officiating. Pallbearers are Charles Montgomery, Tony Grayson, Jeremy Thompson, Dewight Johnson, Reginald Johnson, Greg Smith, Scott Williams, and Derrick Williams. Interment will be at Siloam Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, Arkansas.
