Mr. Kenneth Wayne "Gilmore" Brantley, 42 of Crossett, AR, died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Ashley County Medical Center. He was a native of Warren, AR, a former resident of Arlington, TX and a Crossett resident for the past 9 months. He was a truck driver and was a Church of God In Christ member.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Phillips Brantley. Mr. Brantley enjoyed watching football; the Miami Dolphins were his favorite NFL team. He also enjoyed fishing and traveling.
He is survived by three sons: Kenneth Wayne Brantley, Jr. and Kenyon Di'John Brantley both of Crossett, AR, Kenneth "Little K" Brantley III of Arlington, TX, five brothers: Ray Charles Washington of Crossett, AR, Robert Gilmore and Roundy "Randy" Gilmore both of Little Rock, AR, Sammy Gilmore of Monticello, AR and Dennis Tatum of Syracuse, NY, two sisters, Virginia Wilson of Russellville, AR, Belinda Gilmore of Warren, AR, and a host of nieces, nephews, other loved ones and friends.
Funeral services are Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00 am at Living Testament C.O.G.I.C. with Eld. Nolen Phillips, officiating. Pallbearers are Larry Ward, Wardell Herman, McCoy Franklin, Robert Ivory, Lazarus Adams & Terry Anderson. Burial in Westview Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
Viewing will be Friday from 12:00 to 6:00 pm at Cromwell Funeral Home.
