Mr. Kennedy Russell, 51, of Crossett, died Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. Mr. Russell was a native of Kansas City, Missouri; a resident of Crossett for the past five years and a former resident of Kansas City for many years. He was a retired chef and a Baptist.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dewey Lewis; a sister, Beulah Harris and a brother, Arthelo Russell.

He is survived by two sons, Gregory Russell and Kennedy Russell Jr.; his mother, Judy Nelson all of Kansas City, Missouri; three sisters, Katherine Webb and husband, Leonard, Ella Williams and husband, Austin, Nancy Pitts and husband, Lorenzo, all of Crossett; a special friend, Sheila Woods and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services and burial are 11 a.m., Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Westview Cemetery with Dr. Mary Arnold officiating.

Visitation will be at 10:45 a.m., Friday at the cemetery.
