Katherine Cloteal Davis Thrower, age 90 Conway died Thursday February 2, 2023, at Salem Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was a native of Crossett, AR but a resident of Conway for the last 20 years. She was a retired custodian in the Crossett School District, a former member of the New Bethel Baptist Church who upon moving to Conway united with True Holiness Saints Center where she remained a faithful member. Katherine was an avid gardener, who enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, scrolling Facebook, and surfing the Web.

Ms. Thrower was preceded in death by her husband George Preston Thrower, son Rev Valanda Lamar German, stepson George L. Thrower, daughter Beulah Faye Scott Hicks, parents Herd Davis and Mattie Francis Collins, grandsons Christopher Abson, and Jarred Hampton, brother Larry Collins, and sister Versie Ward.

She is survived by a son Marcus Thrower wife Jackie of Atlanta, GA, a stepson Kenneth Fisher wife April of Houston, TX, four daughters Francis Abson of Conway, AR, Gwendolyn Smith husband Cleo of Gulfport, MS, Dr Althea Augustine husband David of Eldorado, AR, Trenie Thrower of Little Rock, AR, two stepdaughters Syrece Gill husband Willie Ray and Sylatha Daniels husband Raymond both of Strong, AR, and a sister Hazel Roberts of Compton, CA.

Funeral service will be Sunday February 5, 2023, at 3pm at the New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev EC Maltbia officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Strong, AR. Pallbearers Anthony Stanley, David Augustine, Anthony Scott, Thomas Lowe, James Phifer, Tony Jones, Johann Cooper, and Bobby McDaniels. Visitation will be from 2-3 an hour before the funeral service. Services under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
