Mrs. Katherine Moore, 64, of Killeen, TX, formerly of Hamburg and Conway, died Thursday, December 26, 2019, at Advent Health Hospital in Killeen.  She was a native of Hamburg, a retired schoolteacher of Hamburg and Conway School Districts, and a member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Conway, AR.

Katherine was preceded in death by a son, Chad Tolefree, Sr., in August of 2014; her parents, Joenell Madison and Shirley Johnson; and a sister, Carolyn Jenkins.  Katherine was very quiet spirited, but would help anyone.  She was a devoted mother and teacher.  She taught kindergarten and second grade in Hamburg and Conway.

She is survived by two sons, Kevin Tolefree and Isaac Moore, both of Killeen, TX; her step-father, Jessie James Banks, of Hamburg, AR; one brother, Larry Banks, of Hamburg, AR; four grandchildren, Dominique Tolefree-Hickman, Chad Tolefree, Jr., Indya Tolefree, and Alexis Tolefree; one great grandchild, Kameryn Hickman; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday, January 4, 2020, 11 am, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 404 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street Hamburg, AR, with Rev. William Forte and Rev. Willie R. Taylor officiating.  Active Pallbearers are Ken McCray, Adrian Tolefree, Thad Jones, John Ware, Aaron Hickman, Ken Tolefree, Thomas Tolefree, and Alex Brown.  Honorary Pallbearers are Herman Madison, Frankie Wright, Lee Troy Ware, and the Hamburg High School Class of 1973.  Burial in Phillip Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, January 3, 2020, 5:30-7:00 pm, at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc. in Hamburg.
