Julia Fran Merritt, age 68 of Pine Bluff, AR formerly of Hamburg, AR, died Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA. She was a retired hairdresser who operated a hair salon in Pine Bluff, AR.

Ms. Merrit was preceded in death by her husband, James Merritt; one son, Eddie Dennis Hollomon II; her parents, Cornelius Girtman and Bessie Elizabeth Gilbert-Girtman; one sister, Annie Mae Girtman-Cook and one brother, Donald Gene Girtman.

She is survived by one son, Tracy Holloman of Fairburn, GA; two brothers, Cornelius Girtman, Jr. of Crossett, AR and Dennis Girtman (Carolyn) of El Dorado, AR; three sisters, Francis Robinson of San Francisco, CA, Brenda Martin (Ronald) of Augusta, GA and Debra Sodie of The Colony, TX and a host of other friends and family.

Services are Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00AM at Phillip Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Horace Ingram officiating. Burial in Nimmons Cemetery.  Viewing is from 1-5:00PM on Friday.
