Joyce Inez Herron, age 84, died Thursday, April 28, 2022 at her home in Hamburg, AR, surrounded by her family. She was a native of Hodge, LA. She was a retired licensed practical nurse and a member of the Rolfe Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

Ms. Herron was preceded in death by her husband, William Dillard "W.D." Herron; a son, Steven Alan Herron (2010); a daughter, Mary "Sukie" Warren (2022); her parents, Floyd and Lona Plunkett-Blackstock; six brothers, Jack, Harrold, Kenneth, Cecil, David and Dennis Blackstock; and two sisters, Hazel Walpole and Beula Herron. Ms. Herron was a devoted Christian lady who loved the Lord and her church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, sewing, reading, and singing.

She is survived by two sons, Wayne Herron (Shelia) and Floyd Herron (Linda) both of Crossett, AR; four daughters, Becky White (Carlton), Kaye Lum (Phillip), Ruthie Bozemen (Billy), all of Crossett, AR, and Charlotte Clinton (David) of Sheridan, AR; one sister, Lillian Sims, of Lake Village, AR; twenty-one grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren, and ten great-great grandchildren.

Services will be held Sunday, May 1, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Rolfe Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Brother Dale Doss and Brother Carlton White officiating. Burial will follow at Rolfe Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers: James Breedlove, Joe Breedlove, Stephen Johnson, Damion Herron, Chris Clinton, Daniel Warren, J.T. Warren and Johnathan Lum. Honorary Pallbearers: Carlton White, David Clinton, Phillip Lum, and Billy Bozemen.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 30th, 2022, from 5-7 p.m. at Rolfe Chapel Freewill Baptist Church (786 Hwy 82 W, Crossett, AR, 71635.)
