Mrs. Joy Blankinship, 87 of Crossett, AR, died Sunday, February 7, 2010 at her daughters residence in Crossett. She was a lifelong resident of Crossett, a homemaker, and a member of the South Crossett Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Blankinship, her parents, Robert and Mable Summerland Linder, two brothers, Robert & John Leslie Linder and two sisters, Lillian Patterson and Mae Lewis.

She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Blankinship and Ed Blankinship, wife Janis all of Crossett,AR, one daughter, Martha Gill, husband Dennis of Crossett, AR, eight grandchildren: Tommy Blankinship, Melvin Blankinship, Leigh Ann Blankinship, Rob Blankinship, Paula Blankinship Stadler, Brad Gill, Zach Gill and Stephen Campbell, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 2:00 pm at South Crossett Missionary Baptist, with Bro. Don Justice, officiating. Active pallbearers are Andy Gill, Dallas Wilson, Mike Herrington, Danny Ferguson, Keith Maxwell and Bill McLeod. Honorary pallbearers are John Sturdivant, Billy Miller, Roger Miller, Bill Clanton,Billy Clanton, Gordon Wilcox, & Bobby Martin. Burial in Antioch Cemetery.
