Johnny Lee Withers, age 72 of Crossett, AR, died Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Allegiance Specialty Hospital in Greenville, MS. He was a native of Lacy, AR and a resident of Crossett for the past 45 years.  He was a retired timber worker and member of the Church of God In Christ of Lacy, AR.

Mr. Withers is preceded in death by one son, Maurice Withers; his parents, Samuel and Callie Franklin-Withers; four brothers, Don, D.S., Freddie and Cardell Withers.

He is survived by one son, Marcus Withers of Atlanta, GA; five daughters, Kara Jones (Louis) of Crossett, AR, Shonta McCoy (Vincent) of Little Rock, AR, Shiela Withers of Flint, MI Shelay Withers of Atlanta, GA and Erma Withers of Jackson, MS; three brothers, Cleophus Withers (Laura) of Cape Girardeau, MO, Martin Withers of Branson, MO and Marcus Withers, of Little Rock, AR; three sisters, Bobbie Bankston of Crossett, AR, Pamela Jamison (Samuel) and Kandice Withers, both of Monticello, AR; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services are 1:00PM on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at The House of Prayer Ministries in Fountain Hill, AR with Pastor Louise Miller officiating. Pallbearers will be Gregory David, Shad Johnson, Ricky Daniel, Les Tolefree, Ray Lewis and Hollis McQuay.  Honorary Pallbearers are Sam Jamison, Douglas Withers, Cleophus Withers, Martin Withers, Andre Miller and Maurice Withers.  Burial in Mt. Pelium Cemetery in Longview, AR.  Visitation is 6:00-7:00PM on Monday, February 26 ^th at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc. Chapel.
