Obituary

Mr. Johnny Michael "Mike" Streeter, 68, of Crossett, AR died Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at the Veteran's Hospital in Little Rock.  He was a native of Crossett, a past resident of Fordyce, AR, a retiree of G-P Plywood Mill, a member of Gates Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, a Veteran of the United States Army, and a Mason member of Exodus Lodge # 403. Mike was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting.  He enjoyed watching and playing sports especially basketball and softball. He attended United Electronics Institute in Little Rock, AR, and was experienced in mechanical drawing.  He was instrumental in setting up the cable company in Fordyce earning him the nickname "Cable Man". Mike enjoyed life and people.  If you ever met him you never forgot him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Wilbur Streeter, in June 2011; and two brothers, Bobby Moore and Danny Streeter.

He is survived by two sons, Jemar Streeter, U. S. Navy stationed in Bahrain, and Jermaine Streeter, of Memphis, TN; one daughter, Kendra Galloway, of Wilmot, AR; his mother, Jessie Mae Streeter of Crossett, AR; four brothers, Donald Streeter, wife Blanche, of Crossett, AR, Charles Streeter, wife Diana of Los Angeles, CA, James Jackson, wife Alma, and Eddy "Chuck" Streeter, wife Janice, both of Pine Bluff, AR; one sister, Shirley Wade, of Crossett, AR; one adopted sister, Shirley Knox, of San Leandro, CA, one grandchild, Kylan Galloway, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A private graveside service will be Saturday, March 28, 2020, 1:00 p.m., at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Harriel White officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Jemar Streeter, Jermaine Streeter, James Jackson, Donald Streeter, Charles Streeter, Eddie Streeter, Gordon Kidd, Perry Johnson, Billy Allen, Tony Allen, Greg Chavis, Ronald Watson, Greg Watson, Joey Moore, and Teresa Moore-Williams.

Cromwell Funeral Home will follow CDC precautions during this coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.  Visitations and funerals will be limited to 10 people.  We ask that you practice social distancing.  We are committed to safely caring for our families and staff.
