Mr. Johnny James Jimmerson, 61 of Hamburg, AR, died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was a lifelong resident of Hamburg, a security guard and was a member of Soldiers Chapel A.M.E. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmit Jimmerson and Addie B. Gardner Jimmerson and one sister, Dorothy Jean Thompson. He enjoyed all sports.

He is survived by one brother, Richard Polk of Las Vegas, NV, two aunts, Ethel Pippen of Hamburg, AR and Ollie Mae Griffith of Crossett, AR and a host nieces, nephews, other family members, loved ones and friends.

Funeral services are Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Soldiers Chapel A.M.E. Church with Bishop Danny Mays & Rev. Billy Reddick, officiating.  Active pallbearers are Lee Nimmer, Lonnie Walker, Donald Pippen, Jimmy Pippen, Cornelius Girtman & Roosevelt Simpson. Honorary pallbearers are the Hamburg High School Class of 1971. Burial in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 6-7:30 pm at Cromwell Funeral Home.
