Mr. Johnny Gene Jasper, 73 of Hamburg, AR, died Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was a native of Gould, AR, a former 26 year resident of Oakland, CA, and a resident of Hamurg, AR for the past 28 years. He was a retired catfish farm workera and roofer. He was a member of Bethlehem Church of Christ Holiness where he served as chairman of the Deacon Ministry. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Jasper and his father Nehemiah Jasper.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Florene McQuay Jasper, six sons: Johnny Jasper, Jr. of pomona, CA, Bobby Jasper of Gulfport, MS, Earnest Jasper and Jason Jasper both Oakland, CA, Charlie Walker of Little Rock, AR and Bryston Eugene "B.J." Jasper of Hamburg, AR, three daughters: Dominique Moorris of Arkadelphia, AR, Kearston McQuay of Hamburg, AR & Farahatiyata Jasper of Oakland, CA, his mother, Elizabeth Wade of Oakland, CA, one brother, Nehemiah Jasper, Jr., of Newalla, OK, one sister, Lizzie Wright of Oakland, CA and a host of grandchildren, relatives and loved ones.

Funeral services are Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 11:00 am at Bethelehem Church of Christ Holiness with Eld. Robert Adams, Jr., officiating. Visitation Wednesday, April 21 from 6-7 pm at Cromwell. Pallbearers are Lee Troy Ware, Ray Stanley, Cliff Hawkins, Johnny Lee Hampton, Glenn Stanley and Lawrence Stanley. Burial in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
