Mr. Johnny Lee "Bull" Harden, 78 of Lacey, AR, died Sunday, June 10, 2012 at The Woods of Monticello Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was a lifelong resident of the Lacey Community in Drew County, AR, a retired pulp wood truck driver, and a member of Mt. Olive African Methodist Episcopal Church in Lacey. Johnny enjoyed fishing and raising a vegetable garden.
He was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Harden, his parents, Dan Wesley and Katie Mae Sims Harden, four brothers, Will, D.S., Henry, and Eugene Harden and one sister, Murl Jean Hendrix.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Betty Spencer-Harden, eight sons: Anthony Watson, wife Patricia of Fountain Hill, AR, Bernard Baines, wife Beatrice of Raleigh, NC, John L. Harden, wife Betty of Lawton, OK, Henry Harden, wife Lula of Monticello, AR, Glenn Harden, wife Bobbie, Linell Harden, wife Wanda, Jeffery Harden, wife Merrion all of Pine Bluff, AR, Stacy Harden, wife Toni of Grand Prairie, TX, four sisters: Larnie Mae Ferrell, Claudie Handy, Sullisteen Riley, husband Tyre and Carleen Satterwhite all of Monticello, AR, thirty grandchildren and forty-three great grandchildren.
Funeral services are Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Divine Church with Rev. Jesse Washington and Presiding Elder James Jiles, officiating. Pallbearers are Jayson Harden, Damion Spencer, Virgil Darrough, Frederick Harden, Kenneth Watson and Dan Franklin. Honorary pallbearers are Edgar Spencer, Charlie Smith, B.J. Grayes, Richard McKeever, and Edgar Withers. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M. Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Funeral Home. Burial in Lacey Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
