Mr. John Wilbert Jackson, 65 of Crossett, AR, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at the Ashley County Medical Center. Mr. Jackson was a native of Portland,AR, but a resident of Crossett for the past 45 years, a master plumber, and a Pentecostal. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Myrtle Jackson, and one sister, Marcelle Jackson.
He is survived by one son, Wilbert Wayne Jackson of Beekman,LA, two daughters, Linda Kay, husband Anthony Adcock & Glenda Kay Axtell all of Crossett, AR, four step-sons: Kenneth Pack of Hot Springs, AR, Ronnie & Ricky Pack both of Crossett, AR, & Donald Pack of Montrose, AR, one step-daughter, Elizabeth "Sissy", husband Les Tucker of Montrose, AR, three brothers, William "Sonny" Jackson of Crossett, AR, Willie "Bill" Jackson of Warren, AR & Eugene Jackson of Andulusia, AL, five sisters, Pauline White, Faye Stevens, Ruth Curnes & Nadine Purvis all of Crossett, AR & Geneva "Sissy" McQuillan of Beekman, LA, three grandchildren and ten step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Rolfe Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Carlton White & Bro. Justin Uselton, officiating. Pallbearers were Raymond Flowers, Leon, Frankie, Mike, William, and Wade White. Honorary pallbearers were Walter Jackson, Waylon Jackson and Jake Roberts. Burial was in Rolfe Chapel Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
