June 2, 1955 – November 26, 2021
John Lee Harden, age 66, of Lawton, OK died November 26, 2021 at Kindred Hospital in Arlington, TX. He was native of Lacey, AR. He was a member of the Drew Central Pirates Basketball Team. He is a retiree of the US Army where he served for 20 years. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans.
He was preceded in death by his father Johnny Lee Harden; and brother Bobby Harden.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty S. Harden; son Jayson (Joanne) Harden of Raleigh, NC; daughters Kerri Humphrey (Lonnie) Spring Lake, NC and LaDonna Harden of Lawton, OK; mother Betty Inez Harden; seven brothers Anthony (Patricia) Watson of Fountain Hill, AR, Bernard (Beatrice) Baines of Raleigh, NC, Henry (Lula) Harden of Monticello, AR, Glenn (Bobbie) Harden of Pine Bluff, AR, Linell (Wanda) Harden of Pine Bluff, AR, Jeffrey (Merrion) Harden of Pine Bluff, AR, and Stacey (Tanisha) Harden of Dallas, TX; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other family members and friends.
Services 1 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Holmes Chapel Presbyterian Church in Monticello, Ar with Minister LaShunda Jackson officiating. Pallbearers Jimmy Lewis, Jerry Simpson, Donnie Jackson, Fredrick Harden, Harlan Colbert, and Lenard Brooks. Honorary Pallbearers Michael Ridgell, Kelton Hutson, Paul Manigult, Terry Jones, Edgar Spencer, and Darren Spencer.
Burial to follow at Lacey Cemetery with Military Honors.
Visitation 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel in Hamburg, Ar.
