John David Allen, 86 of Crossett, AR transitioned Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Ashley County Medical Center.  He was a native of Kilbourne, LA, but a resident of Crossett for 64 years.  He was a retired carpenter, and a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Bell Allen (2004), his parents, John William and Bessie Ercell Lewis Allen, and a daughter-in-law, Shelia Allen (2024). Mr. Allen was a devoted father and grandfather who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.  He also loved raising chickens.

He is survived by three sons, Robert David Allen, Donald Allen, and Calvin and wife Angela Allen all of Crossett, AR, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral service is Sunday, September 22, 2024 graveside at Carlock Cemetery at 4:00 P.M with Bro. Joey Johnson officiating. Pallbearers are Brandon Allen, Marty Phillips, Joseph Allen, Herman Johnson, Andrew Wallace, and Robert Hudson. Burial in Carlock Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
