Mr. Jody Mack Quimby, 68 of Crossett, AR, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at his residence in Crossett. He was a native of Pittsburg, PA, a former 10 year resident of El Dorado, AR, and a resident of Crossett for the past 34 years. He was a retired printing supervisor of Bemis Bag Company, was of the Baptist faith, and was a US Navy veteran, serving his country during the Vietnam Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Jo Gibbs Quimby and his parents, Gradie & Reba Foster Quimby. Jody was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting & camping. He was also a devoted father and grandfather.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Jody Mack Quimby, Jr., of Hermitage, AR & David Quimby, wife Nikki of Crossett, AR, five grandchildren: Zachary, William, Michael & Dillon Quimby, Madison Burton, special cousins: Ron & Regina Haney of New Braunfels, TX, Carolyn Alford Graves of Gainsville, GA, Connie Johnson-Deason of Mt. Holly, AR, Hugh Allen Quimby of Warren, AR and a host of other family, loved ones and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Cromwell Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Rath, officiating. Pallbearers are Cory Atkins, Pete Griffis, Richard Waltman, Kim Carter, Jimmy Campbell & James Rives. Burial in Rolfe Chaple Cemetery.
Visitation Wednesday, March 11 from 11:00 am until funeral time at the funeral home.
