Jimmy Edward
Griffin
March 1, 1955 – November 19, 2022
Jimmy E. Griffin, 67 of Crossett, AR., died Saturday November 19, 2022, at Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. He was a lifelong resident of Ashley County and a construction worker. Mr. Griffin had a passion for helping people and was readily available to help anyone in his community. He loved the outdoors and was good at doing most anything his hands touched. He also had a great love for his horse "Don," who kept him moving, always finding him wandering out in the yard or into the neighbor's yard. He took his last steps in this life going to get Don from the neighbor's yard. He was an avid fisher and hunter of coon, rabbit, squirrel, deer, turkey, and hog. He was prepared to begin bear hunting when the season opened, and he could not get enough of spending time in the woods – living and hunting. He did not have any biological children, but he claimed all the children and grandchildren in his relationships as his own and showed love to each of them doing all he could to provide for them.
Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by his father, Willie Ed Griffin Sr., (January 2018), and his youngest brother, Jamie Edward Griffin (June 1965), and his 19+ year companion, Nancy LaGrange (June 2019).
He leaves to cherish the memories of his time here on earth, Mother Mrs. Eunice Griffin of Crossett, AR., four brothers Mr. Willie E. Griffin II (Dorothy) of Crossett, AR., Mr. Andrew L. Griffin Sr. (Retha) of Edmond, OK., Mr. Rickey L. Griffin of Omaha, NE., and Mr. Kenneth Griffin (Sonja) of Crossett, AR., one sister Ms. Doretta A. Griffin of Crossett, AR.
