Mrs. Jimmie Matthews Reed, 81 died Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Pinewood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Crossett, Arkansas. She was a native of Wilmot, Arkansas but a resident of Crossett. She was a member of the Lighthouse Family Church and a devoted Christian and follower of Jesus Christ in every way. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: J. L. Reed; one son: Roger Dennis Reed; and her parents: Bro. Jim and Edna Bolin Matthews.

She is survived by three sons: Craig Reed and wife Beth of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Phillip Reed and wife Versa of Hamburg, Arkansas, and Jeff Reed and wife Kim of Little Rock, Arkansas; one sister: June Ward of Plano, Texas; six grandchildren: LeAnne, Lindsey, Catherine, Erica, and Joshua Reed, and Kristy Reed Higginbotham and husband Brian; six great grandchildren; two special nieces: Shirley Ratcliff and Kerry Longria; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 24, 2010 at 1:00P.M. at The Lighthouse Family Church with Bro. Warren Finney and Bro. Tim Williams officiating. Active pallbearers are Brian Higginbotham, Zachary Higginbotham, Ray Brookings, Sam Finney, Buddy Dean, and Kenny Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers are Herman Stanley, Justin Gray, Doyle Book, Robert Womack, Jim Parcham, and Wesley Jones. Visitation will be Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 7:00-9:00P.M. at The Lighthouse Family Church. Interment will be at Dry Bayou Cemetery in Wilmot, Arkansas under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg Arkansas.
