Jessie Tucker, 84 of Crossett, died Thursday, June 11, 2015 at his home. He was a lifelong native of Crossett, "White Station Community", a retiree of Georgia Pacific Plywood Mill and a member of the Fudge Baptist Church. Jessie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved baseball, football, fishing and enjoyed gardening.

He was preceded in death by one infant daughter, one grandson, Norris Penn; parents, Lewis and Roberta Gilliam Tucker; four brothers, C.J., Willie, Troy and Wayne Tucker.

Jessie is survived by his wife of 59 years, Merlene Cromwell Tucker; one son, Jessie Tucker, Jr. of Crossett; two daughters, Ruby Austin of Crossett and Patricia Leichmon "Tracy" of Strong, AR.; three brothers, Robert Tucker, wife Mary of Lakeview Terrace, CA., Eddie "Bubba" and Nathan Tucker of Santa Monica, CA.; one sister, Zelma Tucker of Santa Monica, CA.; five grandchildren, Tamiko Penn, Noel and Candice Tucker and Ashley and Sequinn Leichmon; eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 18 at 1:00 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor James Green officiating. Active pallbearers are Harold Tucker, Lawrence Tucker, Cedrick Tucker, William Tippitt, Willie Cromwell, Jr. and Walter Hendrix. Burial in Ryles Cemetery.

Viewing will be Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00p.m. at the funeral home.
