Mr. Jessie B. Thompson, 76 of Crossett, AR, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the Ashley County Medical Center. Mr. Thompson was a lifelong resident of Crossett, a retiree of Jefferson Smurfitt, and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dallas Thompson & Lorene Olliver, two brothers and one sister.

He is survived by one son, Joe Monroe of Crossett, AR, four brothers, Junior Olliver of Milwaukee, WI, Raymond (Jean) Thompson of Atlanta, GA, Ardis (Gloria) Thompson & Thomas Cook all of Saginaw, MI, two sisters, Lula (Amos) Ford of MIchigan & Dora Ward of El Dorado, AR, his longtime companion, Cora Bell Brown of Crossett, AR, six step-children and three grandchildren.

Funeral services are Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 1:00 PM at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Jesse Radford, Jr., officiating. Pallbearers are Chuck Brown, Manuel Black, Harold McDade, Dominique Lincoln, Rico Duff & Darryll Gilbert. Burial in Westview Cemetery.
