Mr. Jessie Griggs, Jr., 86 of Hamburg, AR, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 at Allegiance Specialty Hospital in Greenville, MS. He was a native of Newton, LA, a resident of Hamburg for the past 56 years and a retired Timber Worker.

He is preceded in death by one son: Donald Griggs and his parents: Jessie and Easter Griggs. He was a quite gentle person who was kind to everyone.

He is survived by five sons: Carson Griggs, wife Barbara of Little Rock, AR; Darrell Griggs of Orlando, FL; Colvita Griggs, wife Yolanda of Arlington, TX; George Griggs and Leo Griggs both of Eudora, AR; seven daughters: Clemenstine Johnson, husband Ronnie and Gale Griggs all of Eudora, AR; Nancy Griggs of Lake Village, AR; Agnes Gibbs of Dallas, TX; Regina Griggs of Monticello, AR; Evangeline McMillian of Douglas, GA; Naomi Hurst, husband Randy of Chicago, IL; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial Service is 11:00AM Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel.
