Jessie James Banks, age 83 of Hamburg, AR. died Monday, May 24, 2021 at Lake Village, AR. He was a native of Elaine, AR. but a Hamburg resident and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was a retired timber worker and operated a lawn service.

Jessie was preceded in death by his parents, James and Adlaid Haynes Banks; two sisters Iretha Walter and Arnella Graham. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and dominoes and his favorite past time was gathering with his coffee drinking buddies daily to discuss the news. He was a soft-spoken man who always had a polite personality.

He is survived by two sons, Charlie Franklin of Dallas, TX. and Larry Banks of Hamburg, five grandchildren Cherllynne, Katrina, Chaurecia and Chania Franklin and Larry Banks, Jr. and three special friends Nancy Foote Spivey of Hamburg, Y.T. "Butch" Singleton of Little Rock and Tammy Jacobs of Hamburg.

Service will be Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Cromwell Funeral Home with Bishop Danny Mays officiating followed by burial in the Johnson Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers are Alfred Robinson, Butch Singleton, Timmy Downs, Frankie Wright, Glenn Stanley and Willie Ashford. Honorary Pallbearers are Joe Haynes, Joe Ebarb and George Howard, Jr.
