Jesse "Sonny" Cole, Jr., age 67 of Lake Village, AR, died Monday, February 19, 2018 at Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Village, a retired welder and landscaper and member of Woodson Temple Baptist Church.

Mr. Cole was preceded in death by one son, Jason Cole and his parents, Jesse and Willie Mae Jackson-Cole. Jesse enjoyed football, basketball, baseball, fishing and loved the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Betty Tyler-Cole; one son, Michael Cole of Chicago, IL; two daughters, Sheatasia Cole of Chicago, IL and Teresa McJoy of Lake Village, AR; four brothers, James Cole (Belinda) of Lake Village, AR, John Cole (Laura) of Little Rock, AR, Larry Manning (Lois) of Dermott, AR and Jerry Manning of Lake Village, AR; five sisters, Betty Lee Easterling (Grover) of Benton Harbor, MI, Betty Jean Williams (George) of Rochelle, NY, Rosie Haney (A.D.) of Chicago, IL, Cora Dickson of Lake Village, AR and Lorraine Clark (Raymond) of Crossett, AR; eight grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services are 11:00AM on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Woodson Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Roy McCloyen officiating. Pallbearers will be Melivn Davies, Wilbert Anderson, Thorton Green, Freddie Bakes, Emmerson Chesterfield, Robert Bolden, Johnny Helen and Maurice McMiller.  Burial at Woodson Temple Cemetery in Lake Village.  Visitation is Friday, March 2 ^nd from 5-6:30pm at Woodson Temple Baptist Church located on Hwy 82E in Lake Village, AR
