May 21, 1948 – August 7, 2020
Mrs. Janie Lorene Miles Quimby, age 72 of Crossett died Friday, August 7, 2020 at Ashley County Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Ashley County, a U. S. Postal Service retiree and a member of Zion Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Quimby 2004, parents, C.M. and Lorene Miles; three brothers, Ray C. Miles, C.M. Miles, Jr., and Carl Cumella; three sisters, Betty Mae Maxwell, Jo Ann Barr, and Brenda Robinson. Janie was a talented lady who enjoyed gardening, painting, making afghans, and cooking. She was well known for her hushpuppy recipe. She was the most selfless, loving person who was always concerned about everyone else's well-being. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by six sons, Sgt. Ernest Cutchall, wife Teresa of Atlanta, TX, Scott Cutchall, wife Wendy of Conway, AR, Lee Cutchall, wife Helen of Swansea, MA, James and Michael Farrish both of Crossett, AR, and Donald Wayne Quimby of Hobbs, NM; two daughters, Kimberly Rice, husband Charley of Monroe, LA, and Sonya Watkins, husband John of Duncanville, TX; two brothers, David Miles of Lonoke, AR, and Stetson Stevens of Crossett, AR; two sisters, Carolyn Bentley, husband Leon of Ft. Hill, AR, and Nancy Taunton of Crossett, AR; grandchildren, Betty Ann, Evan, Leah, Ryan and Randy Cutchall, Carley and Alyssa Rice and Joshua Farrish; great-grandchildren, Gravity, Alaunah, and Christian Cutchall.
Graveside services will be Monday, August 10, 2020, 10:00 A.M. at Zion Cemetery with Bro. Keith Boseman officiating. Active Pallbearers are Stetson Stevens, Evan Cutchall, Billy Lambert, Brett Henry, Donald Hensley and Darryl Hensley. Honorary pallbearers are Timothy Chavis, Jarred Files and Jim Campbell.
Viewing will be Sunday, August 9, 2020, 3:30-5:00 at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc. 600 East St. Louis Hamburg, AR. This will be a walk through viewing and face masks are required at the viewing and the service.
