Mrs. Janice LaFran Maxwell, 66 of Hamburg, AR, died Saturday, January 4, 2014 at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of the Hamburg-Crossett area. She was a retired secretary for Hamburg School District and a member of Promise Land Baptist Church.

Janice was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Hubert Lee Maxwell, her parents, Van & Helen Jones Murphy, and one brother, Royce Van Murphy. She enjoyed sewing, hunting and playing with her dogs. She was also co-owner of Hubert's BBQ, she loved working with her husband.

She is survived by two sons, Alan Maxwell, wife Fran and Greg Maxwell, wife Carla all of Hamburg, AR, four grandchildren, Nicole, Tyler, Adam & Conner Maxwell and a host of other family, loved ones and friends.

Graveside funeral services are Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Crossroads Cemetery with Bro. Mike Reese & Mike Griffith officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Christine Riley, Colleen Robbins & friends of the Hamburg School District.

Visitation Tuesday, January 7, 2014, from 6-8 pm at Cromwell Funeral Home.
