Mr. James Tucker, 87 of Crossett, AR, died Friday, August 31, 2012 at his daughter's residence in Crossett. He was a lifelong resident of Crossett (White Station Community), a retired timber worker and a member of Fudge Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eddis Childress Tucker, his parents: Willie and Lucy Washington Tucker, three brothers: Willie Jr., Lester & Thurmon Tucker and two sisters, Lovie Ann Colvin & Shirley Mae Thompson. James enjoyed raising his vegetable garden and fishing.
He is survived by two sons: James Edward Tucker of Crossett, AR & Billy Ray Tucker of Marion, LA, one daughter, Catherine Ukpon of Crossett, AR, one god-son, Clifton Tucker of Dallas, TX, one brother, Genice Tucker of Crossett, AR, and four sisters: Selia Mae Green & Silver Lee Scott both of Crossett, AR, Lucindy Mitchell, husband Robert of Collinston, LA & Lucille Traylor of Marion, AR, and a host of neices, nephews, loved ones and friends.
Funeral services are Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Fudge Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. James Green & Rev. Lindsey Riley, officiating. Pallbearers are Jessie Tucker, Jr., Ricky Traylor, Ed Traylor, Donald Thompson, Ronnie Traylor & Terry Thompson. Visitation Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 6-7 pm at Cromwell Funeral Home. Burial in Ryles Chapel Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
