Mr. James Albert Smith, Jr. "Sonny Boy", 51 of Hamburg, AR, died Sunday, July 27, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Smith was a native of Crossett, a Hamburg resident for the past 8 years, and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Jamerson Smith, and one brother, Ricky Lavern Smith.

He is survived by his fiancee' Nadine Parker of Hamburg,three sons: LeAndre & DeAndre Smith both of California, Timothy Keith of Chicago, IL, four daughters, Kalisha Pennix of Fayetteville, AR, Samantha Smith of California, Kathy (Earl) Hampton & LaTissia (Raymond Jr.) Hampton all of Crossett, AR, five sisters:Lee Archie Gilliam, Millie Austin, Penelope Smith, Janice Williams & LaShunda Waters all of Crossett, AR, and one nephew he raised, Micky (Evelyn) Brown of San Antonio, TX.

Funeral services are Friday, August 1, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Byron Bess, officiating. Visitation Thursday, July 31 from 6-7 PM at Cromwell Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Derrick Williams, Gregory Smith, Scott Williams, Jr., Alfredo Smith, Rontel Smith & Edgar Cotton. Honorary pallbearers were Matthew "Goat" Bowman, Cane Webb, Joe Louis Washington, Michael Ellis & the Crossett High School Class of 1975. Burial in Westview Cemetery.
