James Polite, age 73 of Portland, Ar. died Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Chicot Memorial Hospital. He was a life long resident of Portland, a retired truck driver and a member of Baptist Faith Church.

He is preceded in death by a son, Rodney Polite; his parents, Velma and Effie Lee Willis Polite; a brother, Eldridge Polite and a sister Jewelene Lewis. Mr. Polite enjoyed working, fishing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by the love of his life, Mary Ann Johnson; three sons, Derrick(Alberta) Polite of Montrose, AR, Corey(Katrena) Polite of Dallas, TX, James Spencer of Nashville, TN, four daughters, Tina Polite (JD) Thompson, and Mona (Danny) Hampton both of Portland, AR, Karen (Reginald) Turner and Erica Polite both of Dallas, TX, three brothers, Willie B. Polite of Sacramento, CA, Ardis Polite and Percy(Janice) Polite both of Flint, MI. two sisters, Erma Polite Brooks and Minnie Conley both of Little Rock,  nine grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, also a very special friend Vera Polite.

There will be no memorial service.
