Mr. James Alec McCurdy,  Jr., 80 of Warren, formerly of Montrose, AR, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the Bradley County Medical Center. Mr. McCurdy was a native of Rayville, AR, a former 50 year resident of Montrose, and a resident of Warren for the past year. He was a retired farmer and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florice McCurdy, his parents, James A. & Luna Brown McCurdy, three brothers and five sisters.

He is survived by one brother, Edward McCurdy of Alabama, four sisters: Alice Sloan of Warren, AR, Ruby Savage of Pine Bluff, AR, Kathleen Wiseman of Cleveland, OH and Beatrice Ackerman of Washington.

Memorial services were Sunday, March 23, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Old Union Cemetery in Montrose, AR, with Bro. Larry Donaldson officiating. Remains were cremated. Arrangements by Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
