Mr. James Edward Tucker, age 72 transitioned peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at McClellan Veteran's Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was a native and lifelong resident of Hamburg, AR, a retired truck driver, and a member of Bethlehem Church of Christ Holiness. Mr. Tucker was also a proud United States Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Shavolus Tucker and Joerenze Tucker; granddaughter, Katherine Tucker; parents, Henry Tucker and Lucy Mae Tucker-Mason; sisters, Nadine Tucker-Hubbard and Alice Maxine Tucker-Shaw, and brother, Jimmy Tucker. James was hard-working, and he enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, checkers, and having fun telling jokes.

He is survived by: three daughters Debra "Michelle" Lee-Howard of Crossett, AR, Keshea Pegross of Burnsville, MN, and Kamesha "Meka" Tucker of San Bernardino, CA; a son, Antonio Terrell Pegross of Brooklyn Park, MN; two brothers Cal H. Tucker and Chris Tucker and wife Katherine both of Hamburg, AR; three sisters, Sue Gibbs of Jena, LA, Annette Davis of Winnfield, LA, and Marva Gumbel and husband Alan of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Khayla Howard of Eldorado, AR, Dalton Howard of Crossett, AR, Tayneshea Tucker, Joerenze Tucker, Jr., Joerenze Tucker, Nina Tucker, and Jada Kay Tucker all of San Bernardino, CA; Daniel Pegross of Brooklyn Park, MN, and LaDe'John DeBose of Rochester, MN; five great-grandchildren, Ke'Lias Manson of San Bernardino, CA, Jaecion DeBose, Alaysia DeBose, Amaria DeBose, and Ciani DeBose all of Rochester, MN, a Special Friend Idia Grayson-Mason of Hamburg, AR; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ephraim Johnson officiating. Active pallbearers, LaDe'John Debose, Henry Gibbs, Dalton Howard, Corey Paskel, Cortecez Tucker, and Joerenze Tucker, Jr. Honorary pallbearers, James Adams, Lawrence Cromwell, George Grayson, Alan Gumbel, Sherman Gibbs, Harris Martin, Antonio Pegross, Roosevelt Simpson, Cal Tucker, and Chris Tucker. Burial in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
